Friday Fragments

“When you have cleared all of your clutter, you can be of greater service to those around you.”
Michael B. Kitson

The Easter Bunny brought Jacek and Aidan some tubs of cotton candy.  The other day Jacek requested it for snack.  About 20 minutes later I glanced over at him and found him staring into his snack bowl at the mound of cotton candy he had barely touched.

"What's wrong buddy?"  I asked

"Mommy.....
am I eating...fur?"

(I ended up eating the rest.  He asked for fruit chews instead)

The Walmart I go to always has ridiciously long lines and there's only like 3 open at a time.  So, I'm waiting, patiently and calmly in line (the boys were being great) when this hairy gangly dude comes up behind me with one thing in his cart....

this...
He's behind me and Aidan is staring at him.  The dude grunts in our direction and I turn to look at him.
I realize then that I have half the store in my cart (really he was just creeping me out) so I say, "You can go ahead of me." He nods his head and says thank you.  And then, there we are again with this gangly dude now in front of us.  He keeps looking back at me.  After like 15 minutes he turns to me and says, "I should have stayed behind you."

Um, kay.  I was speechless.  I just gave him a smile about as crooked as his teeth and looked away.  You see the only thing that made sense to me was that he was implying he should have stayed behind me so that he could look at my a$$.  Seriously, that had to be what he meant, right?!?

Returning home from Walmart I was pulling into our garage when I hit something. It was an old piece of exercise equipment that my husband had moved into the middle of the garage.  I checked the bumper..there was a little smudge.  I didn't tell my husband cuz I didn't think it was a big deal.

Yesterday pulling into our garage I hit it again.   doh!

Someone should really move it out of the way.  Seriously.

I have two free giveaways going on right now.  One is for two family fun games.  Check it out HERE.  The other is for a book titled "It's Either Her Or Me!"  Check it out HERE

You don't need to be a follower to enter either giveaway but each one does have a mandatory question you must answer to be entered.  Both have low entries as of right now....just sayin.

There are no more jelly beans in the house.  I ate them.  Someone had to.  I don't even like jelly beans. The things I do for the good of the family.  Always sacrificing...

Been there, done that at Walmart with a go-zillion checkout lines and only a few are open resulting in long lines.

Entered your contest. Love to play board games.

Fun list!

Maybe the guy in the Walmart line just thought that the line was moving faster before you let him go ahead. Or maybe you're right.

I like jelly beans, but this year I only bought one bag. Chose a different brand than usual, and they're not very good.

Have a great weekend!

Two things. Am I eating fur? LOL how old is he?

For the good of all humanity I tore apart like 100 cadbury creme eggs. I mean I figured that it was the least I can, right?

hey, you can always come and sacrifice for my family too.. the eater bunny goes way overboard.. lord knows my kids don't need the candy and i'll never let them eat it all.. i don't really like sweets, so there's no sacrificing on my part (i might be willing if it didn't hurt my teeth so darn much.. lol)

Just another reason to avoid Walmart. And, really, who does that to a woman who is there with her kids? "Creepy" is right.

Oh my goodness that was funny. First of all your son...that is just hilarious! Then running into the equipment twice. That is something I would do, and then wonder why no one has moved it! LOL! :)

Have a great weekend!

Oh what a joy to find out you're playing crash derby in the garage. THE exercise equipment in question was supposed to be utilized by you, now it's taking a trip to the dump..hmph! Sure could go for a jelly bean....

Since you had half the store in your cart, it has to be that your a$$ was way better looking than the person he ended up behind when you let him go ahead of you. ;)

Ohhhh! Jelly beans! I forgot to have the Easter Bunny bring jelly beans!

And I think it's funny your little guy thought he was eating fur. ;)

Hmm...why is that piece of exercise equipment in such a precarious spot? Could it be that you have a vendetta against it ;) ? Poor, poor little exercise machine...nobody loves it ;)
