please post this my dear

Last night, the Eve before our 7th Wedding Anniversary Darren sent me an email.
The subject read: please post this my dear
So, like the wonderful doting wife I am, I did.
I believe this qualifies as Darren's 2nd Guest post.

LUCKY Seven,  LUCKY Me,  LUCKY We.

Today, March 8th, Kerri and I celebrate our 7th anniversary of wedded bliss.  Well, not all bliss.  There’s been some bumps, bruises, bangs, blips, and burps along the way.  BUT, when the day is said and done, I’m right where I want to be.  Next to my lover, my best friend, and my dearest confidante…Kerri.  LUCKY is Me.
While we have been married for 7 years, we have actually been together for 10.  With that being said, there are so many things I could point to that symbolize our relationship.  As a tribute to year 7, I have selected something relating to the number 7….Button.  Button, a Papillion, was Kerri’s little doggie.  You see, they say the average year of a dog compared to 1 human year is equal to….yup, 7 years.  LUCKY Seven.

Button was a little ankle-biter who was always by your side.  No hiding from her, no way!  She was always up your BUTT.  However, she absolutely won a spot in my heart.  We became fast friends, and forever united in our love for Kerri.  Button meant so many things to Kerri.  She was with her through many ups & downs, travels & trips, and life-changing moments.  An ever-faithful companion to the end.

She is as much a part of “us,” as anything.  I know, I know…a dog?  Yeah, a dog.  While she was, and always will be Kerri’s dog, she most certainly became mine as well.  She was a part of the union that became Kerri and Darren.  It’s been almost 3 years since she’s pitter-pattered around our lives.  Since then we’ve filled our home with Charlie, Lily, and Nicholas.  While they’re just making their niche’ in our home, Button will never be forgotten.  LUCKY We.
Happy 7th My Love!

Do I Kerri take you Darren?

It became unseasonably warm as the day progressed

everyone made mention that the mild weather was a nice surprise

I was afraid I might get mud on my dress

I was also afraid I might fall down the stairs
but My father didn't let that happen

Walking down the isle
my glance was intercepted

by a man that stood just feet away from me
He was the reason I was wearing a beautiful gown, a glittery tiara, and that smile

I loved how I looked as his bride.
I loved the way he looked at me
when he spoke his vows

What I remember most about that day was feeling like a princess
in a fairy tale
who finally got her prince

but I also remember how we made sure
to be OURSELVES
because after all it was OUR FAIRY TALE

I remember how it was snowing when we left
and how everyone was saying what a surprise it was

Then we drove to Niagara Falls

And we lived Happily Ever After
{{Insert choking sound here}}

Um, no
Not Exactly

But what has happened
is 7 years of ups and downs
of a house being transformed into a home
of having two beautiful little boys
of friends
of love
of anger
of sadness
of happiness
of LIFE

I didn't just marry him.  I married us.
and sometimes US is the only thing that keeps me going

I kinda wish we could do both,ya know
live a fairy tale and be ourselves
every single day
but life doesn't always make that possible.

What is possible
is remembering the vows I made to him
I do.

What is possible
is loving him more
today then I did yesterday
  I do.

Do I Kerri take you Darren?

You bet your sweet sexy bottom
I DO.

Happy Anniversary Baby.
Kisses times 3 till infinity.
