Sundays In My City

Unknown Mami

Last week as the temperatures began to rise the edge of our backyard turned into what my son called a
"walk in pond".

The temperatures this week were perfect.  On Wednesday evening we took a walk with the boys.  I captured this with my camera phone.  I love the golden hue the sun setting behind us created.
If you look closely on the left you can see the train.

We've been staying close to home lately but as the weather continues to improve
(although I think it might snow again this coming week)
we'll be getting "Out and About"
I look forward to sharing more city pics and not just my backyard!!
Thanks for coming by though...

Your blog today made me think of ways our area is showing signs of Spring. This morning, while running to the store, saw the geese had returned to their habitat in a near-by pond, walking non-challantly down the road. Pics in our newspaper of volunteers in the down-town area (Pgh.PA) planting tulips and daffidils in pots lining the streets. I love this time of year and the signs everywhere of awakenings and renewals. Fat buds waiting to burst forth on the trees, birds singing to us in early morning and twilight. God is good. Love your pics and Jacek is child-hood curiousity at it's best. Absolutely adorable. Love and hugs.

Your son looks so sweet! I remember doing that when I was a kid (a hundred years ago in Ohio). It's a sure sign spring is really on the way!

Thanks for sharing your city!
Cheers,
jj

You know you're lucky, very few people get to have seasonal ponds in their backyard.
